Excellent book and resource for parents looking for ideas, strategies, and lessons to encourage their daughters to pursue their true interests and not conform to the constraining societal expectations that have surrounded girls/women for far too long. My wife and I are expecting twins and plan to have more children. This book will be a valuable resource for us while raising our family, no matter the gender of each child. The book focuses on encouraging girls to reach their full potentials as women, but many of the strategies can also be applied to boys. As a soon-to-be-father, this book is a wonderful resource that I will be going back to for many years.
This book is a great resource for anyone with a daughter in helping them explore the world of STEM possibilities. It provides great insight into a child's Development and interests at each phase of life while providing ways to guide and nurture STEM interests. Some of the writing was a little drawn out and makes some assumptions here and there. A few parts were a little slow to get through, but overall I certainly enjoyed it and will use what I read throughout my daughter's childhood.
All parents and teachers of girls should read this book. Not only good insight into how to raise girls to love STEM but also just raising girls in general
As a father of a young daughter who is interested in math and science, as well as art and music, the book helped me confirm some things I already knew and also opened my eyes to a few things I hadn't thought about or was viewing from a different perspective.
