It was so nice to see the main characters from a children's perspective, so heart-warming. I loved reading this, the jokes were just right.

Nice illustrations and cute story. A little shorter than I thought it would be. My son loves the other Jeff Brown Star Wars books (Jedi Academy) and I thought this would be like those, but these are a MUCH shorter read, meant for a younger audience. The illustrations are colored and a lot nicer than Jedi Academy though.

I enjoyed looking at the e-book Darth Vader and Friends. Iâ€™m not sure that this is a kids book per se because the child would need to know something about Star Wars to understand the pictures and short stories. The books seem more like a comic book than an actual book. The pictures are nice and well done. I recommend this e-book for anyone that loves Star Wars.

Adore all Jeffrey Brown's Star Wars books! Gifted several of these over the years to friends with a boy and girls. They all have gotten a kick out of them. Excellent graphics and hilarious situational comedic captions of life with a child in a Galaxy far, far away.

As with most all of Jeffrey Brown's Star Wars themed books, my 6.5 year old loves it. Not only is it fun for him to read with me, but Jeffrey's added some wit and humor for the adults as well. There are a few jokes that go over my son's head, at least for the time being, but he still gets a kick out of this one nearly every night.

funny book, I laughed a lot. Was hoping to use this as kindve an introduction to the universe for my five year old, but my 10 year old liked it a little better. Some of the jokes don't make sense without the background knowledge of why its funny. Glad I got it though. I think hell love it eventually.

Darth Vader and Friends is a collection of, unconnected, individual, Mildly Humorous Star Wars parody comics (Much like you would find in a news paper). There is no "story" to be found in this book, and there are very few words (Only speech bubbles).

We love the Jeffrey Brown books - have bought all four of them for my husband for various birthdays/Father's Day and all four of us in the family, including 10-year old son and 6-year old daughter, really enjoy them. Obviously they're funnier if you're familiar with the Star Wars movies as they play on scenes from those movies.

The failures of the Turks in the Middle East which predated our neo-con initiated and managed invasions and occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq seems to have gone unnoticed. China is outmaneuvering the United States in the Middle East, in Asia, in Africa, and in Latin America. And they have done so by spending on infrastructure instead of devastation, and without causing massive loss of life on the part of the occupants of these areas or on the part of Chinese soldiers.

Especially if these new actors become players, and some already are, in the arena of nuclear weapons.There is a very good compare and contrast of styles of leadership and views of world order by resort to detailed analysis of how three U.S. Presidents viewed these issues: Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR. Also, not surprisingly, the author is very complimentary of Nixon's role in world history and formation of order. There can be room for discussion of Nixon's presidency and persona, but only the most rabid disparaged of Nixon can deny his foreign policy acumen, and then hardly legitimately.Finally, coming from one who readily admits his technology shortcomings, the author does an excellent job of posing the benefits and burdens of the internet age.
