I was expecting alot more from someone referred to as the foremost authority on seasonality in the futures markets. While I give Jake alot of credit for bringing greater visibility to seasonal trading strategies through his earlier research from the late 70s on, this book was somewhat of a disappointment. My first concern is that a large portion of his data modeling is based off of cash market data. While this often allows one a much greater data pool to tap which in turn can assist in lending statistical significance to apparent patterns, I have to question the validity of this approach since as most traders know, futures prices often diverge significantly from those of the cash market. There are no clear trading rules elucidated for particular seasonals, and individual contract months are not well touched on. In addition, while technical filters are mentioned, there is no clear integration with seasonals. For anyone actually interested in trading seasonals with very clear rules spelled out with specific seasonals based on individual contract months, I would highly recommend John Momsen's "UltraReliable Seasonal Trades." While I haven't traded Momsen's methods long enough to draw a 100% conclusion, I've already made significant profits with his systems. This text didn't add enough workable knowledge to warrant the price IMHO. It does however provide some decent info on performing your own seasonal research by data mining...

Most seasonal trading is already factored into the price, right before the season starts. Something like 2 out of 10 seasonal trades work nowadays. Technical Analysis has eliminated many of the seasonal signals.In fact it is prohibited by the National Futures Association for brokers to even discuss or promote on the basis of seasonal trading. That says a lot to me.In the past 11 years I have been a futures broker, futures investor, and author of several futures books and I tell all of my clients not to rely on seasonal trades. And if they do follow seasonal trades use tight stops for when the market goes against you.

The book itself is good so far, practical and applicable. I am mainly writing this review to warn students not to bother buying this book new. I read that it came with a disc, and that I should buy it new or the disc may be used or missing. The included disc is just a 60 day trial of MS Project, not even enough to get through the semester. Whether your book comes with the disc or not you will still have to figure out another way to get the program.

NOT THE SAME as the 6th edition in US. There is a page at the front that describes the differences. The cases have all been changed to India specific ones. The body of the text seems similar with explanations about the concepts, but page numbers will be significantly different from US 6th edition. Also, the top of the pages do not list what chapter you are reading, making cross referencing or flipping to a section challenging. The paper is also very thin and not good for highlighting as it will bleed through. I have both books side by side.

As others have stated, this is a good overview for a survey level course in PM. It is repetitive, but I think that is understandable in a survey course textbook of this nature. I agree that the scenarios are a little out of date; for the cost of the sixth edition, these could have been updated. It is certainly easy to understand, but I wouldn't have pegged this as a graduate level text. If you don't need this as a requirement for a course, I wouldn't buy this as a self-study guide. It's far too expensive for an overview. As far as readability, it's an easy read for an introductory level course.

This book was a semi easy read (until the last few chapters), I think it would be more enjoyable in a classroom setting, I read the book for an online course and at times was rather hard to follow. I would not suggest this book unless you were taking a class on Project Management and this book was required. I'm certain their are much easier books to follow if you are doing self-study.

I'm only on Chapter 5, but I have cut off pages 263-276 (so far). Not good!Missed return deadline because I didn’t discover the issue in time. No one offered any type of restitution.

Content is really useful, but be careful, I got the Indian version. By the way, the is no significant difference between the International and Indian Version. So, don't care.

I purchased this book thinking it was the original version because the description did not stipulate otherwise, but instead realized once I started reading it that it was the Indian version so none of the case studies were applicable to my course. It would be nice if the seller would make it clear in the description that this is an international version for Indian companies. I wish I could return it, but it's too late now.

Really well written and east to follow. Lots of great case studies and highlights. Too bad page the sentence at the bottom of Page 574 is never finished. The facing page is Page 607. Not sure where the missing pages went. LOL. But, its a really good book overall. (paperback version)

I really enjoyed reading this story. Jeremiah was such a great character. This was one of my favorite Amish story!

I understand this is the author's first Amish novel. As an avid reader of all Amish novels, I feel she did A great job keeping the Amish culture authentic. I look forward to her next novel.

This is a lovely reunion romance. Twelve years ago Ava and Jeremiah were in love and she looked forward to settling down with him in their Amish community. Jeremiah was always adventurous and when his Englisher friend who was a Navy Seal died in combat, he felt he had to join the Navy Seals to honour his friend.He left behind his family and Ava, leaving her broken-hearted. Eventually when she realized Jeremiah was never coming back, she married his best friend and had two children. A couple of years ago, her husband died and Ava is a widow, struggling to make ends meet.The return of Jeremiah is unexpected and a little scandalous. The only good thing is that he hadn’t made his adult commitment to the community before he left, so there is a possibility of redemption and eventually acceptance.Ava is shocked when she meets Jeremiah and discovers in herself a deep well of anger and resentment against her first love. She had loved him deeply and though she came to love her husband, it wasn’t the same.Jeremiah has his own struggles. As a Navy Seal, he experienced things that have left their mark and he is subject to PTSD like many soldiers. Coming home is the most important thing in the world to him, and finding Ava free is both a grief for the loss of his friend and something to give him hope.I really engaged with this story. They are both good people but the years apart have not been easy for either of them. At times I found it very emotional.The ending was very satisfying.I received an ARC from Netgalley for an independent review.

Their Amish Reunion Is a deeply touching book of reconciliation, forgiveness, mistakes, frailty and Faith. You have a couple who was a couple for a couple of reasons - But then something happens and they are not - you have to read to find out why they separated. Ava then marries his best friend and has children with him. She loses her husband and struggles to keep up. Jeremiah walks back into her life with his own serious problems but if you want to know what these problems are and boy howdy are they some serious problems; you have got to read this book for yourself. Ava doesn't trust him and she is ticked off for what he did to her in the 1st place - can they ever get past their problems to meet in the middle? Will they ever let their Faith Heal their hearts and love each other again? Will you let yourselves get emotionally involved in this book like many others have? I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all of the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.
